We engineered our own plastic reeds for the chanter and drones of our Gibson Fireside™ Pipes, whaich are available in three different keys.

Fireside™ Pipes are shipped with Gibson reeds.

Gibson practice chanter reeds will work beautifully in most any Practice Chanter.

Jerry testing reeds.

All reeds are pre-tested and ready to go. Jerry constructs all reeds himself, ensuring that each reed is of the highest standard and puts out nothing but a quality sound.

Reeds are made in the keys of A, B(flat) and D.

We would like to also mention and highly recommend an excellent reed for any pipe Chanter. This would be the Caldwell Reed from Ireland that is made by Davie Caldwell. He was formerly a member of the famed Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band and is a top soloist in the competitive piping circuit.

Davie has been designing and constructing reeds for the past 15 years.
He is using the "molded" design which is much like the old MacAllister reed.
