Gibson Ceilidh(Kaylee) Pipes
These remarkable small pipes have the traditional look
of drones over the crook of the arm and out of one stock.
They have amazing harmonics, are extremely steady and available
in the key of A. We call them Ceilidh Pipes( Kaylee)
™ because they
are particularly suited to playing at parties, sessions
and Ceilidhs along with guitars and fiddles and accordions
or even vocals. Or just have fun playing your regular pipe
tunes on these pipes.
We debated long and hard about using imitation blackwood
(plastic) for the drones, but decided to use the same blackwood
that we use in making our Fireside pipes. It simply
looks and feels better. We wanted to provide a top quality
instrument at a good value. Ceilidh pipes have a Goretex®
bag as standard feature.

We have also made changes to the replacement reeds. We
have now color coded them on the white stems. Blue for the
bass, yellow for the baritone, green for the tenor and red
for the A chanter reed. B flat is to remain plain white
and black is for the key of D. Many people have been asking for sound samples of the Ceilidh
Pipes, these will be available soon. Thanks for the input,
we love customer feedback.
